Receipts

Receipts for tutoring agencies and college counseling firms

One flat licence covers every tutor and every student in your practice. $999 for the first year, setup and training included.

Families hire you to protect one thing: the application. Then an AI detector flags an essay your student actually wrote, and the family that paid you to protect that application is now watching it come apart over a score nobody can explain. The student has no way to show the work happening, so it becomes their word against a number.

The detectors have documented false-positive problems, and they land hardest on exactly the students many practices serve. A Stanford study found that AI detectors falsely flagged 61 percent of TOEFL essays written by non-native English speakers. GPTZero was among the detectors tested; Turnitin was not.

What Receipts does

Receipts records how a document is written: every keystroke, every pause, every rewrite, every deletion, every paste. When an accusation comes, the student replays the writing happening instead of arguing with a score. It produces evidence, not a verdict. A teacher, a school, or an admissions office looks at the record and decides for themselves. And the absence of a record is never treated as evidence against anyone: a student who never used Receipts is exactly where they were before, no worse.

The core tool is free for every student, forever. Recording, replay and proof links never cost a student anything, whether their tutor's practice buys a licence or not, and the evidence itself is never paywalled. That is a deliberate design choice, and for you it is a selling point: you are never charging families for access to their own proof.

Or skip both and try the free app yourself first. It takes two minutes and nothing about it requires talking to me. You can also watch a sample record replay right now: it is a constructed demonstration, labelled as such inside the record itself, and it opens with no account.

The practice-wide licence

$999, flat, for the first year, for organisations up to about 25 tutors. You pay $400 to start and $599 when setup is delivered. No multi-year lock: the licence runs for a year and you decide again. Larger organisations: ask for the schedule. Prices are in US dollars.

What the $999 covers

How it closes

Two ways, both without a portal or a procurement cycle.

By email: reply with one sentence agreeing to the licence terms at receiptsproof.com/school-terms, and I send the card link for the $400. The terms explicitly cover tutoring organisations, and enrolment is counted by tutor count, not by how many students walk through your door.

Or start right now: pay the $400 deposit directly. Paying it confirms your organisation agrees to the licence terms at receiptsproof.com/school-terms, so read them first; they are short and written to be read. The remaining $599 is due when setup is delivered, so you have seen the thing working in your own practice before most of the money moves. After paying, reply to your Polar receipt with your organisation name and tutor count and I schedule your setup the same day. If you change your mind before setup starts, say so and the deposit is refunded in full.

Do your due diligence, please. You should check out any vendor before paying one, especially a young one, so here is the honest picture up front. Receipts is a one-person company, Receiptsproof Pte. Ltd., and there is no commercial insurance yet. The full licence terms are public at /school-terms and written to be read, not skimmed: they say plainly what is stored, what is not, and what you are entitled to demand from us. Student writing never sits on our servers in any mode; it lives in the student's browser and their own Google Drive. And to be equally plain about the product: no record can force anyone to believe a student, and we never claim otherwise. It gives the student something to show and a human something real to judge. If any of that gives you pause, do not agree to anything yet: try the free app with one tutor and one student first, and judge it on real work.
