Receipts records editing activity while a student writes. The student can share a replay and factual record privately through the school’s existing submission route. The record is supporting context for a person to review. It does not identify the writer or determine an outcome. Receipts does not generate an AI score.
The teacher experience

When it was written, what came from outside the keyboard, and how it was revised appear on the first screen.
Review moments
Up to three factual, timestamped moments link directly to the replay.
Replay
The final document appears first. A teacher can inspect any recorded time or open the complete details.
Safeguards
- Student-controlled sharing. A teacher sees a record only after the student sends it through a private route.
- Neutral absence. A missing, sparse, unusual, broken or incomplete record never counts against a student.
- No student-writing database. Standard mode has no Receipts-side roster, submission index or copy of the essay.
- Recording checks. Browser-identified page scripting is rejected and unrecorded page changes are removed before export. Device-level input can still resemble a keyboard and is named as a limitation.
- Practical transport. Students can use a proof file or Drive-backed short link when a full link is too long for chat or an LMS field.
- Same view for both sides. The student sees the same Recorded facts, Review moments and limitations before sharing.
The one-class pilot
- Preflight. Test the managed device, browser, Google permissions, proof opening and private submission route.
- Run one assignment. The teacher creates an assignment link in My records. Students can use Receipts voluntarily and submit the final document normally.
- Review the workflow. Measure technical reliability, teacher review time, student understanding, accessibility and fairness.
Implementation
The live pilot includes the writing app, Google Docs history import, Drive backup, proof links, proof files, teacher Summary, Replay, Record details, print view, assignment links and browser-local class review, plus an optional class drop box and dashboard in pilot. It does not include a roster imported from school systems, LMS integration, monitoring or organisation-wide activation of individual paid features.
A school rollout adds planning, teacher training, a written evidence-handling policy and named support around the free core. Any additional product layer must be tested and named in a signed order before it is represented as live.
Due diligence
- Data. Student writing stays in the student’s browser and their own Google Drive. Vercel Analytics receives page and action metadata, never proof content, titles, Drive IDs or tokens.
- Proof links. A proof link is a bearer credential. Anyone holding it can open the record, so the school must use a private submission route.
- Google access. The app can see files it created and a single document a user deliberately selects through Google’s picker. It does not scan Drive in the background.
- Current assurance. Receipts has not completed an independent accessibility or security audit and does not currently carry commercial insurance.
- Organisation. Receiptsproof Pte. Ltd. is incorporated in Singapore. No school is invoiced before a signed order identifies the exact scope, price and acceptance test.
- Policy. The school keeps academic judgment, accommodations and due process. Receipts supplies student-controlled context.

Paid rollout after a pilot
The pilot comes first. If the school chooses a wider rollout, yearly pricing is based on school size:

Recording, replay, proof links, proof files, Drive backup and the factual record remain free for students whether a school buys a rollout or not.
