Receipts records how a document is written, keystroke by keystroke, and replays the writing happening. A student accused of using AI has a record to show their teacher, not just their word against a detector score. Individual students already use it free, and that never changes. A school licence adds the parts a school needs, configured to fit how your classes actually work, and I do the setup with you.

What you get on day one: the writing, replay and proof-link tool, already live for every student; every paid feature (permanent history, printable exhibits, the teacher letter, the Google Docs cross-check) for your whole school; and setup plus live training fitted to how your classes run. The classroom layer (rosters, assignment hand-in, a teacher view) is the founding-school build described below and carries a delivery date only if one is written into your order form.

What a school licence includes

• Set up to fit your school. I configure it around your classes, your assignment flow and your existing tools. I do the setup and training myself while it is just me, and anyone who ever trains your staff will be trained to the same standard first. If you use Google Classroom, students post their proof link right where they already turn in work, no new system to log into.
• Classrooms and hand-in (founding-school build, in progress). Class lists, assignments, and students turning in work with the writing record attached, so the proof arrives with the essay instead of after the accusation. Switched on when your order form asks for it.
• A teacher view (founding-school build, in progress). One place to see a class's submissions, open any replay, and see the same writing history the student sees, so the person who has to make the call can judge it for themselves.
• Storage that respects students. Each student's writing stays in their own Google Drive. If you choose the school layer, we store the roster, the submission links and the integrity hashes on your school's behalf, and the school owns that data; there is never a vault of essays. Because a submission link opens the record it points to, we treat stored links like passwords: protected, never logged, never shared.
• Every paid feature for everyone. Permanent history, printable exhibits, the letter for teachers, and the Google Docs cross-check, for every student and teacher under the licence.
• Me, directly. You are not emailing a support queue. I built it, I answer, usually the same day and always within one business day.

Ballpark pricing

Flat yearly licence by school size, so one signature covers everyone. No per-student maths, and enrolment changes during the year never change what you owe until your next renewal. Founding offer: the first three schools to sign a completed order form pay half price, locked in for three years while the licence stays active. Email me to ask how many founding slots remain. For public districts, a multi-year rate rides on your annual funding approval, the same as any vendor contract you sign.

Students never pay. Recording, replay, proof links and every signal check stay free for every student on earth, whether their school buys anything or not. The school licence pays for the school side, not for the evidence.

How Receipts compares

Every other tool answers after the accusation. Receipts is built for the student:

• AI detectors guess from the finished text. A Stanford-affiliated study in Patterns (2023) tested seven detectors and found they wrongly flagged 61% of TOEFL essays by non-native English speakers, and dozens of universities have switched them off.
• Replay extensions show Google Docs snapshots, batched and coarse. The timing inside a burst of typing, the part that actually looks like a person, is not there.
• Monitoring suites record students for the school, inside the school's editor, on the school's servers. The evidence serves the accuser and disappears if the school never bought the tool.
• Receipts captures true keystroke-level provenance, hold times, hesitations, deletions, abandoned ideas, and seals it into a tamper-evident record the student owns and shares. No score, no verdict, no server holding the writing. The evidence stays free forever. When the accusation comes, the student presses play.

Privacy, in one paragraph

No student essay is ever sent to me or stored by me. Writing lives in the student's browser and their own Google Drive, under a permission that can only see files this app created, plus any single document a student chooses to open through Google's own file picker for the cross-check. Records carry a cryptographic hash, so any change after the fact is detectable. It is not a surveillance tool: nothing is scanned in the background, nothing runs outside the Receipts editor, and a student always sees exactly what their record contains, because they hold it. The terms, before you ask for them

The full licence terms are public and written in plain language, not legalese. Four things in them worth knowing now:

• A whole section on what your school is entitled to demand from us, including support response times, written data answers, and no surprise changes mid-term.
• The free student promise is a contract term. If it is ever broken, you can terminate immediately with a pro-rated refund.
• A real exit. No data lock-in, renewal by invoice only, never an automatic charge. Once a paid term starts, fees are refundable only in the specific cases the terms name, so try the free one-class pilot first if you are unsure.
• An exhaustive student data inventory. Exactly what is stored in each mode, where, and how it is deleted, including FERPA and state privacy law commitments.

How buying works

Built to close in a week, not a semester:

• 1. Try it. Name one teacher and one class and the free pilot runs this week: one real assignment cycle or 30 days, no charge, no commitment.
• 2. Sign it. Reply with your school's full legal name and enrolment and I send a one-page order form the same day. Email signatures are valid; no wet ink, no portal.
• 3. Pay it. Card by secure checkout link, or an invoice with Net 30 terms by bank transfer, card or check. Purchase orders accepted. Renewal is by invoice only, never an automatic charge.

Questions your business office will ask

• Where does student data live? Student writing is never stored on our servers, in any mode. The optional school layer stores only rosters, submission links and integrity hashes, owned by your school. The exhaustive inventory is in the terms, section 5.
• FERPA and state law? The terms carry FERPA school-official provisions, state student privacy commitments, and a signed NY Parents Bill of Rights attached by default for New York schools. We will also review your district's own data addendum.
• What if something goes wrong? Breach notice within 72 hours, liability capped in writing, and a named human who answers within one business day.
• Who are we contracting with? Receiptsproof Pte. Ltd., and invoices are issued in that name only.

Your teacher sets a normal essay, students write it in Receipts, and the class turns in work with replay links attached through whatever you already use, including Google Classroom. Do your due diligence, please

You should check out any vendor before signing, especially a young one, so here is the honest picture up front. Receipts is new: the company is Receiptsproof Pte. Ltd., incorporated in Singapore in 2026, run by its founder, and the registration number is printed on every order form and invoice so your business office can verify the entity before any money moves. There are no third-party reviews yet because the first school licences are being signed now; that is exactly what the founding discount pays you for. The full licence terms are public above, they disclose plainly that this is a one-person operation without commercial insurance, and nothing about your students' writing ever sits on our servers, which means the data risk a review would normally probe simply is not there. If any of that gives your business office pause, do not sign anything: take the free one-class pilot first, judge it on real work, and check every claim against what your teachers see.
