What this does and does not prove
It proves: that text accumulated over time, with revision, pauses, and non-linear editing — the shape of composition. Pasted blocks are recorded and disclosed rather than hidden.
It does not prove: that a person did not read AI output on a second screen and retype it. Nothing can prove that, and any product claiming otherwise is selling certainty it does not have.
Where this record came from: it is self-attested. It was produced by the author's own browser, and the hashes on it are computed by the same page that displays them — they show the record has not been altered since it was made, not that anybody independent witnessed it being made. A determined person can hand-author a record like this one. The independent check is the Google Docs cross-check, which reads revision timestamps from Google rather than from this app.
Why it still works: detectors ask a teacher to trust a number with no evidence behind it. This hands over the evidence and lets a human look at it. That is a lower bar to clear and a much harder one to dismiss.
